Car Parks are TOO small especially for Cars like Toyota Camrys- ended up scratching it on a pole because of the designs of the carpark. It was the only carpark I could find too- Theyre awkwardly compacted. I swear whoever designed that carpark did NOT have a clue what cars look like!

We have proof we were at seaview shopping centre Beaumaris at 2.47 pm on Saturday 1/4/23. Arrived at parked at southland shortly after 3.00. Left at 5.00. Charged $4.00 to get out. How is that legal. Parking company is a bunch of thieves.

Paying for the privilege of shopping is a joke. I’m local and used to go at least once a week, since making it paid parking I go very rarely, and only for a short time. It’s no wonder so many businesses there are shutting down, bringing in paid parking has killed the place.

On Friday 24 June my son and I drove into the Karen Street entrance between 5.30 and 6pm. My son turned right instead of turning right and had to leave the car park to re-enter. The boom gate wouldn’t open and we buzzed the attendant who advised us that we must pay a fee of $35. My son argued with him and told him we had just arrived and made a wrong turn. The attendant told us that the car drove into the car park at 10 am and was leaving at 5.45pm. My son advised the attendant that he drove to work at 4.30 am and parked his car in Richmond until 3pm. The attendant kept insisting that this car was at Southland all day. My son became very upset and eventually the boom gate was opened. I’d like to know why the car number didn’t come up at the time that we entered - a minute or so before the confrontation with the attendant. BTW there’s free parking across the street opposite the Karen St entrance. Give me Chadstone any time!!!

Be careful when using the car park. Watch out for pot holes. I have notified customer service but have not had a response. I had a nasty fall and have fractured my ankle there because of a deep pot hole. I would not like it to happen to anyone else.

Shopped for 6 hours and we were prepared to pay $9 as we thought the first 3 hours were free. No! After 3 hours, they charge you for the lot! We had to pay $19 parking. Ruined our whole day, especially when the woman I queried it with on the intercom was extremely rude. We’ll be going to chadstone from now on.

We spend over $800 today shopping clothes for x3 kids, imagine! Going to shop clothes and shies for x3 kids all 10 and under! Nit a 3 hour task! We entered 12pm and left at 8pm. On exit I had to pay $35! What a disgusting, place! Chadstone chopping Center from here on! Heck there are a few places if you google, u could go instead of Southcrapland. Save your money people, avoid southland shopping centre, let them bleed a little and maybe they will come to their senses! If not, then they deserve what they get.

Horrible. They claim 3 hours are free so if i exceed 2.5 i was expecting to pay $3.00 (parking fee) x 2.5= $7.50 but NO

Most shoppers like me (a local) leave before 3 hours is up or shop elsewhere. Even if you have the money it is annoying to pay for shopping. I'm surprised the retailer's arnt leaving due to obvious reduced spending due to parking limits.

The signage is misleading. Says first 3 hours free and you also get an extra hour free if you go to the movies. We were there all day and were charged $35 for 7+ hours. Really??? So if 4 hours are free how can we be charged $35 for 7 hours? Realistically we were charged $35 for 3 hours. And the cinema barcode to give you 4th hour free? Well even with car park customer service assistance it has never actually scanned!!!

Your parking rates are horrible. Make it fair for people who actually shop for extensive periods.

Terrible, who in their right mind would want to go to Southland to shop for a few hours when they have to pay through the nose just to park the car. Might as well go to Chaddy or the city
